Women between the ages of 50 and 62 who live in Oregon aren’t getting the preventive screening tests that they should, according to a report released this week by the AARP Public Policy Institute.

The report found only 68.7 percent of the state’s women ages 50-62 had received a pap test in the past three years, significantly less than the national rate of 78 percent. Only 75.2 percent of state’s boomer women had received a mammogram during the past two years. The national rate for this test is 78.4 percent.
