Today

MLB playoffs, division series: All four series are in action, starting with Oakland at Detroit (10 a.m., MLB Network). Pittsburgh leads St. Louis 2-1 and will try to close out the Cardinals at home (noon, TBS). Boston looks to sweep Tampa Bay in Florida (3 p.m., TBS), while the Los Angeles Dodgers can eliminate Atlanta (6:30 p.m., TBS).

Tuesday

Prep volleyball, Sweet Home at Sisters, 6:45 p.m.: The Outlaws put their 6-0 Sky-Em League record on the line when they host the 3-3 Huskies. Sisters, in the latest OSAA Class 4A rankings, sits atop the Sky-Em standings with a one-game advantage over Elmira.

Friday

Prep football, Summit at Mountain View, 7 p.m.: The Storm and Cougars head into this Class 5A Intermountain Conference battle with matching 4-2 records, and both teams are riding two-game winning streaks. But while Summit is 2-0 in IMC play and wraps up its league schedule against Mountain View, the Cougars open up their conference slate against the visiting Storm.

Saturday

College football, Oregon at Washington, 1 p.m. (Fox Sports 1); Oregon State at Washington State, 7:30 p.m. (ESPN2 or ESPNU): The Ducks and the Beavers head north, with No. 2 Oregon (5-0) figuring to get its first test of the season from the No. 16 Huskies (4-1).

Sunday

Fall runs, 9 a.m.: Enjoy the beautiful Central Oregon fall with FootZone’s 10K Hot Chocolate Run near Shevlin Park or the Great Pumpkin Race 5K that starts at C.E. Lovejoy’s Market in southeast Bend. The Hot Chocolate Run is not a race, but designed to showcase the Skyline Forest northwest of Shevlin Park. Free to participate with hot chocolate awaiting runners at the finish.
