Gates are closing ...

Motorists pass through the open gates at Dutchman Flat on the Cascade Lakes Highway on Wednesday afternoon. Snowy conditions have prompted the Deschutes County Road Department to close and lock the gate for the season at 8 a.m. today. The Paulina Lake Road accessing Paulina and East lakes as well as McKenzie Pass have already closed for winter.
