Nov. 22, 1915 – Oct. 1, 2013

Connie was born in Pullman, Nebraska to William and Della Babcock November 22, 1915. She married the love of her life, Lindell Durr June 30, 1937 in California and was widowed May 16, 1979. They raised their children in Redmond, OR where she resided since 1949.

She was proud of her accomplishment of attending beauty school and had a flair for dressing for success and putting on her face before ever stepping out the door. She was affiliated with the Fraternal Order of Eagles where she enjoyed her singing group and loved to go to the grange for weekly dances. After Lindell passed, she was a member of the singles club, but she was adamant that she wouldn’t have any of them as no one measured up to Lindell.

She was a regular at the annual Buckaroo Breakfast in Redmond, attending nearly every one since the mid-1950’s. Family was extremely important to her especially in her later years. She looked forward to the annual family reunions and started planning and talking about the next one as soon as the latest one was over.

She outlived all of her brothers and sisters, including the youngest who died in 2007. She is survived by her children, Roland Durr, Terrebonne, OR, Karen Apperson, Prineville, OR, Joyce Greaser, Allentown, PA; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 6 great – great – grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Lindell Durr, daughter, Carol Ann Durr, grandson, Timothy Durr Green, her parents and her brothers and sisters.

A graveside service was held Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013 at Deschutes Memorial Gardens. In honor of Connie, many wore red, as she especially loved that color. Arrangements were handled by Autumn Funerals.
