Forrest Warne Lane died November 5, 2013, as a result of kidney failure. Forrest was born in Sacramento, CA, on October 13, 1948, to Faunice (Wilson) and Forrest Everett Lane.

He grew up in Antioch, CA, graduating from Antioch High School in 1966.

He joined the Navy during the Vietnam era and married Linda Faletti on December 28, 1975, in Antioch, CA.

One of Forrest’s great loves was fishing and he was an expert fisherman. When they moved to Oregon 33 years ago, he spent many happy times on the lakes and streams catching fish. He also loved woodworking and worked for the Pozzi Window Company for many years.

Forrest was a great storyteller and loved dressing up as Merlin at Halloween. He made his own good luck charms and gave them away to friends.

Forrest is survived by his wife, Linda of Bend, OR; mother, Faunice Lane of Fresno, CA; sister, Julie Lane Carter of Fresno CA; brother-in-law, Michael; and nephews, Sean and Joshua Carter.

Forrest was preceded in death by his father, Forrest E. Lane.

Forrest will be dearly missed by all.
