William “Bill” and Vivian (Morton) Taylor, of La Pine, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by friends and a cruise through the Panama Canal.

The couple were married Dec. 27, 1963, in Jamesville, N.Y. They have two children, Lisa (and Tony) Sorensen and Andrew (and Brandi), both of La Pine; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Taylor served in the United States Air Force until 1977 and worked for Jeld-Wen until his retirement in 2000. He is a member of the honor guard for American Legion Post 45 in La Pine. He also volunteers with SMART and the La Pine Community Kitchen. Mrs. Taylor worked for Bend Memorial Clinic in La Pine until 1999, John L. Scott until 2001 and Bi-Mart until her retirement in 2013. She is a member of the La Pine Ya Ya Sisterhood Society.

They have lived in Central Oregon for 26 years.
