Ralph Lewis McLain was born January 13, 1925, and passed away on November 9, 2013.Born to Opal & Charles McLain in Davis City, Iowa, he graduated from the Davis City High School in 1942.Ralph joined the Merchant Marines and served for 11 years. At one time he started a 100 day tour leaving Port Arthur, TX, and going around the world.

He married Donna Logsdon of Jefferson and from that union four children were born; Zachary, Tony, Joe and Athena. The family participated in horse shows, water skiing, golfing, fishing, camping, hiking & biking.Ralph worked for Telydine Wah Chang, for 33 years. He was a member of the Community of Christ Church and remained faithful to that covenant. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.He is survived by his wife Donna of 58 years; his children and their spouses; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Preceding Ralph in death were his parents; and two brothers, Don & Harold.A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 16, 2013, at 1:00 p.m., at The Community of Christ Church, Bend, OR.
