Local climbers qualify for USA championships — Eleven Bend Endurance Academy rock climbers have qualified for next month’s USA Climbing Division I Championships in Seattle. Abby Black (female, 17-18 years old) and Olivia Brumwell (female, 13-14) won their divisions at the regional championships in Medford last weekend. Emma Vee McMillian (second, female 17-18); Riley Joyce (third, female 17-18); Tristan Helmich (third, male 15-16); Walker Davis (fifth, male 15-16); Iris Flattery (fourth, female 13-14); Lukas Strauss-Wise (fourth, male 13-14); Gavin Bianucucci (sixth, male 11-12); Leah Pfeiffer (third, female 11-12); and Brady Pfeiffer (second, male 10 and under) all advanced past regionals with their top-seven finishes.
