Campaign nets DUII suspects
Law enforcement agencies around Central Oregon have completed a 21-day high visibility enforcement campaign, netting a total of 26 arrests for driving under the influence of intoxicants, according to a Bend Police news release.
The campaign ran from Dec. 13 to Jan. 2.
In part by using grant-funded overtime hours, law enforcement made the following arrests:
• Bend Police arrested two people on suspicion DUII and one for on suspicion of a felony.
• Oregon State Police arrested eight people on suspicion of DUII and are in the midst of investigating one fatal crash that could be alcohol-related.
• Redmond Police made 14 arrests on suspicion of DUII.
• Prineville Police arrested one person on suspicion of DUII.
