Oct. 8, 1929 – Jan. 8, 2014Richard (Dick) Alan Hoppes passed away on January 8, 2014 from Lewy Body Dementia. He was born on October 8, 1929. His father always blamed the stock market crash on Dick.He married his favorite, and only wife, BarbaraLee McRae on July 10, 1955.Dick was preceded in death by so many relatives and friends it would take pages to list them.He is survived by his wife, Barbara and three daughters, the middle of whom was always his favorite. (Now you know who wrote this!) Adrienne Gapter resides in Salina, Kansas. Michele Daum resides in Kimball, Nebraska. Cheri Rasmussen (the favored one) resides in Prineville, Oregon.Dick has seven wonderful grandchildren who are all becoming quite successful due to their mothers and grandmother! Dick was a wonderful husband, family man and a great contributor to society. May he rest in peace and watch from above.Contributions may be made to The Historical Society, Ochoco Care Center, CCHS Football or CCHS Wrestling. A family service will be held at a later date.
