The body found Sunday east of Bend near U.S. Highway 20 at Hamby Road has been identified as Pivoyne Castro-Luna, a 42-year-old Bend woman last seen March 9.

Bend Police Lt. Nick Parker said a Tuesday autopsy determined the cause of death was blunt force trauma and said they consider the case an active homicide investigation.

Castro-Luna was reported missing March 10. She was last seen with Honorio De Horta-Frias, 40, according to authorities. De Horta-Frias has not been named as a suspect in her disappearance, Parker said, but is a person of interest.

Police believe De Horta-Frias left the area and headed south. They are working with other law enforcement agencies to locate him.
