Boardings at Redmond Airport increased in February for the sixth straight month, according to airport figures.

Last month, 17,502 passengers flew out of Redmond, a 6 percent increase over February 2013.

After four straight months of year-over-year declines in mid to late 2013, boardings began to climb again in September, outpacing totals for the same months in 2012, airport figures show.

The trend has continued into 2014. In January and February, about 38,000 passengers total have taken off from Redmond, a nearly 10 percent increase over the first two months of 2013.

American Airlines began daily service from Redmond to Los Angeles in June.
