Hannah McCullough, of Bend, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2013 semester at University of Rochester in Rochester, N.Y. McCullough, a graduate of Bend High School, is the daughter of Dan and Carrie McCullough of Bend.

Shannon Fouts, of Sisters, was named to the fall 2013 dean’s List at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in San Luis Obispo, Calif. Fouts, a 2013 graduate of Sisters High School, is the daughter of Jeri and Dan Fouts, of Sisters.

Teen Feats

Finn Jacobs, of Bend, has been awarded the Fortissimo Award for April 2014 from the Cascade School of Music. Jacobs, a guitar player, is the son of Jennifer Jacobs of Bend.

Military Notes

Army National Guard Pvt. Brandon Short has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbus, S.C. He is a 2013 graduate of Redmond High School. He is the son of Kristi Schaffner and Pete Short, of Redmond.
