Mark Cooley passed away on April 9, 2014, with his family by his side, at their home in Des Moines, WA. He was born in Portland, OR on April 10, 1958. Mark grew up in Butteville, OR on the Willamette River, and graduated from North Marion High School. He enjoyed wrestling on the high school team, riding motorcycles, and water skiing. He attended Long Beach State University, where he was a member of one of the first collegiate water ski teams.

He was fun loving, caring, loyal, and hard working. Mark was a devoted husband and loving father who adored his children and they him. Mark lived for music and the outdoors. He was an adventurer who enjoyed discovering new places to go boating, fishing, hiking and camping. Spending time with his family and friends was his favorite past time. His son and daughters were his “proudest achievements.”

Mark was an entrepreneur. He had owned a business in Ketchikan, Alaska in the early 1980s and there met his wife of 28 years, Brenda. They relocated to Central Oregon and opened Cascade Satellite and RV parks in both Culver and Prairie City, Oregon.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda (Ness) Cooley; daughters, Katelyn (23), Madelyn (14); son, Curtiss (21); parents, Curt and Judy Cooley; sisters, Lisa Bizon (Pat), Jill Kahle (Paul), Annemarie Davis and many cousins, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends who were influenced by Marks friendship and silly sense of humor.

A celebration of his life has been planned for Saturday, April 26, 2014, 1:00 p.m. at Des Moines Beach Park Auditorium, 22030 Cliff Ave S, Des Moines, WA.
