A rundown of games and events to watch for locally and nationally from the world of sports:

Tuesday

Golf, Oregon Open Invitational, Black Butte Ranch: 188 golfers from around the Pacific Northwest will converge on Glaze Meadow course at Black Butte Ranch for the annual 54-hole stroke play championship. The field includes some of the top club professionals from the region. Tee times begin at 7:30 a.m. Spectators are welcome.

Tuesday

Golf, Bend Ladies Invitational, Bend Golf and Country Club: One of the few remaining stroke-play tournaments for women in Oregon gets underway. The 49th edition of the Bend Ladies Invitational draws some high-level amateurs from Central Oregon and beyond for 36 holes. Tee times begin at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday and 9 a.m. on Wednesday. Spectators are welcome.

Wednesday

Mountain bike racing, Blitz 2 the Barrel, Bend, 5:30 p.m. (women’s start), 6 p.m. (men’s start): This annual wild ride features world-class cyclists and a $20,000 prize purse. The race starts at Wanoga Sno-park southwest of town and finishes at 10 Barrel Brewing; Tetherow is a popular place to watch the action speed by. More information: www.blitz2thebarrel.com.

Wednesday-Sunday

Sisters Rodeo: Sisters expects to welcome 79 cowboys and cowgirls with National Finals Rodeo experience to this year’s event. Rodeo action starts Wednesday with the Central Oregon Bulldogging Shootout at noon and the PRCA Xtreme Bulls at 6:30 p.m. The actual Sisters Rodeo runs from Thursday to Sunday. with the first full rodeo performance scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday.

Thursday

Soccer, World Cup, Brazil vs. Croatia, 1 p.m. (ESPN): Ready or not, Brazil, it’s here. The first match opens the 32-nation, monthlong competition with the favored host nation playing in the much-anticipated first game. The United States doesn’t get underway until 3 p.m.June 16 against Ghana. Other favorites include Argentina, Germany, Italy and defending champion Spain.
