Local wins state— Ryan Hudson, of Sisters, won the men’s Level 5 overall state weighlifting title June 7 at the University of Oregon. Hudson snatched 116 kilograms — a new state record — and clean and jerked 144 kilograms for combined total of 260 kilograms. Bend’s Adam Hamilton placed fourth in the Level 5 category with a combined weight total of 256 kilograms. Together, Hudson and Hamilton won the men’s team state title.
