The Third Street underpass in Bend will be closed for approximately 12 hours on Wednesday or Thursday to allow for striping and other maintenance.

Weather conditions and the availability of a subcontractor on the project will determine when the underpass will be closed, according to a news release from the city of Bend. The closure is expected to run from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. the next morning, with traffic detoured around the area on Wilson Avenue, Ninth Street and Franklin Avenue.
