William “Bill” Peckham died peacefully at home surrounded by his family in Bend.

Bill was born in the Los Angeles area to Lloyd and Phyllis (Bradley) Peckham. He grew up in Colton, California and graduated from Colton High School.

Bill served his country during World War 2 as a radioman on the USS Oak- hill in the Pacific Theater. After the end of the war, he graduated from Occidental College.

He married the love of his life, Jeanette and raised three daughters. Bill loved his family and was a devoted dad.

Bill worked as the Director of Compensation for Hunt Wesson Foods for twenty-five years. He and Jeanette moved to Central Oregon after his retirement in 1989.

Bill enjoyed traveling, gardening, and playing tennis and golf. He played golf until the fall of 2013.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jeanette; and their three daughters, Tani (Charles) of Bozeman, Montana, Kathy of Grass Valley, California, and Dana of Bend.

Bill was big hearted and selfless.

The family will plan a private service later this year. All donations can be made to Partners in Care Hospice, or the Humane Society.
