Glenn Cornick, 67: Original bass player in the rock band Jethro Tull. Died of congestive heart failure at his home in Hilo, Hawaii, on Thursday.

Jack Kraft, 93: Villanova basketball coach who guided the Wildcats to the 1971 NCAA title game and coached such players as Wali Jones, Bill Melchionni and Howard Porter. Died Thursday in New Jersey.

Jeremiah Healy, 66: Acclaimed mystery writer whose best-known creation, the conflicted private investigator John Francis Cuddy, was a Vietnam veteran who solved crimes and confronted sensitive political issues with compassion, wit and the occasional burst of violence. Died Aug. 14 in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Elizabeth Fowler, 95: Author and financial reporter for The New York Times who was one of the first women to cover the Wall Street beat for a daily newspaper. Died Aug. 11 at her home in Chatham, New Jersey.
