Scott and Mary Ellen (Walsh) Nunns, of Bend, celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary with a mass at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Bend.

The couple were married Aug. 30, 1969, in Sidney, New York. The couple’s wedding ceremony and nuptials were performed by Rev. Gerard Walsh, uncle of the bride. They have three children, John (and Amy), of Morrow, Ohio, Michael (and Robynne), of Santa Cruz, California, and Colleen (and Eric) Recourt, of El Cajon, California; and six grandchildren.

Mr. Nunns served as a captain in the U.S. Navy and worked for Del Monte Corp. before retiring in 2004. Mrs. Nunns worked as a registered pediatric nurse and retired in 1969. The couple volunteers at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Bend.

They have lived in Central Oregon for 10 years.
