Panthers win big at Eagle Point

EAGLE POINT — Redmond jumped out to a 35-point first-half lead and cruised to a 56-7 road football win over Eagle Point.

On a warm evening, the Panthers (2-0) ran for 404 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in the nonconference game. They led 42-7 at half.

Running back Derek Brown scored three touchdowns, quarterback Bunker Parrish added two more rushing scores, and Parrish hit tight end Cody Winters.

Brown racked up 165 yards on 17 carries, and Parrish rolled up 97 yards rushing while completing 3 of 6 passes for 78 yards.

Riley Powell and Jeremy Durham each scored touchdowns.

“For us, it was a real successful business trip,” said Redmond coach Nathan Stanley. “A REALLY successful trip.”
