Prepare! Redmond is hosting a Saturday event in Redmond aimed at teaching people how to be ready for an emergency.
The Emergency Preparedness Fair, which organizers hope will become an annual event, is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Centennial Park in Redmond. Event goers will learn how to prepare emergency kits, how best to store emergency food and water and how to stay healthy during a disaster.
Prepare! Redmond is a community-based collaborative including the American Red Cross, Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, Redmond Fire & Rescue and the city of Redmond, as well as health care and utility providers and faith-based organizations. The event is free.
