One lane for northbound and southbound traffic has reopened on U.S. Highway 97, which was closed earlier this evening because of a fatal wreck between Bend and Redmond.

Several people were injured in the accident shortly before 7:30 p.m., according to Oregon State Police. The crash at milepost 128 involved one northbound vehicle, which rolled over. An air ambulance took the injured to the hospital.

State police, the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office and the Deschutes County District Attorney’s Office are investigating, according to state police.
