ESTACADA — Madras rallied in the fourth quarter with 10 unanswered points, but it was not enough as the White Buffaloes fell to Estacada 14-10 in both teams’ Tri-Valley Conference football opener Friday night.

The Rangers jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and were pitching a shutout heading into the final period. In the fourth, however, Madras’ Jered Pichette hauled in a 5-yard pass from Chad Lindgren for a touchdown and Gustavo Lopes booted a 31-yard field goal to bring the Buffs to within 14-10.

Madras would not get any closer, however, and fell to 0-1 in league play and 1-3 overall. The White Buffaloes continue TVC action next Friday with a trip to top-ranked Gladstone.
