Controlled burns are planned beginning Saturday near Wickiup Reservoir next to the Hanner Park Community.

About 180 acres across four separate units will be burned adjacent to Hanner Park, Wild River and Ponderous Estates, according to a news release from the Central Oregon Fire Management Service. The burns are expected to last two days, and no roads will be closed. But smoke might be visible from Forest Road 44 and Burgess Road, the news release said.
