The most wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Joan Lee Clouse (Davis) went to heaven on October 8, 2014 after suddenly falling ill. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her family.
Joan was born to Mary and Russell Davis on January 21, 1933 in Ironton, Ohio. She met a young man named Veryl Clouse in 8th grade. Growing up together, Joan and Veryl became high school sweethearts and were married in 1951. They adopted two children, a son Paul V. Clouse in 1961, and a daughter, Lee D. Clouse in 1965.
The Clouse family moved west to Bend in 1969. Joan worked for both Bend and Mountain View High Schools for many years, in addition to raising her family. She loved her family beyond words. She loved going for daily walks, playing Bingo, going to Reno, and playing Scrabble with her best friend, Ellen Rogers, for the past forty years.
Joan and Veryl would be married sixty-three years this December. She will be so missed but forever in our hearts. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son. Survivors include the love of her life, Veryl Clouse; her daughter, Lee Kinkade (husband, Jared) of Bend; and her only grandson, Jake Severance of Portland, Oregon.
Autumn Funerals, Bend is honored to serve the family.
