A Bend man was arrested on suspicion of methamphetamine possession early Monday morning after being pulled over along U.S. Highway 97 north of Terrebonne.

Thomas Van Hoose, 39, was also wanted on a felony warrant and is accused of misdemeanor driving with a suspended license and being a felon in possession of a weapon, according to the Oregon State Police. He was being held Monday night at the Jefferson County jail without bail.

An OSP trooper pulled Van Hoose over around 6:21 a.m. because he was allegedly having trouble driving within a lane, according to the OSP. The trooper then learned he was driving with a suspended license and was wanted on a warrant. A drug detection canine from the Warm Springs Police Department helped with a search and officers allegedly found ¾ of an ounce of crystal methamphetamine on Van Hoose and in the car.
