Deschutes County Clerk Nancy Blankenship asks voters to disregard the state elections’ office message indicating ballots can be mailed through today.

Because mail in Deschutes County is now routed through U.S. Postal Service offices in Portland, local voters should take their ballots to a drop site.

In order for votes to count on Tuesday, the clerk’s office must receive ballots by the 8 p.m. deadline on Tuesday.
