Man dies in crash near Warm Springs

A man ejected from his van in a crash on U.S. Highway 26 near Warm Springs was killed Saturday night, according to Oregon State Police.
In a news release, OSP said the driver was about 20 miles east of Government Camp and traveling east at around 7:09 p.m., when his van collided head-on with a westbound pickup. A few moments later, a semi-truck struck the pickup, causing the driver of the van to be ejected through the passenger-side window.
Police are withholding the man’s name pending notification of family members. The two other drivers were not seriously injured.
Road conditions were very icy at the time of the crash. The highway was closed for approximately nine hours while the crash was investigated.
