Susan Beth Hamilton, 63, of Bend, passed away Wednesday at her home with her family by her side. She was born to Lowell and Margaret Kirkendall on Dec. 15, 1950 in Winedot Michigan.

She moved to Bend, Oregon in 1972 with her husband, Bob

Hamilton.

Sue started her career as the Front Desk Manager at The Inn of The Seventh Mountain in 1973 and then stayed home to lovingly raise two daughters. In 1983 she became a volunteer and leader with Camp Fire Central Oregon, where she then worked for many years as an Executive Director. Sue retired in 2005 to spend time with family and help raise her granddaughter.

She loved the outdoors, rafting the John Day River, hunting agates at the Oregon Coast, water-skiing at Shasta Lake, and most of all, her family.

Sue is survived by her husband, Bob Hamilton; children, Cori Hamilton and Clint Vezie, Jennifer and Greg Ketner; granddaughter, Addison; her mother, Margaret Kirkendall; and sister, Anne Klein and her husband, Craig.

A Celebration of Life will be held 4:00 p.m. Sun. Dec. 20 at Partners in Care, 2075 NE Wyatt Ct., Bend, OR.
