Storm water polo keeper named league MVP

Summit keeper Kyle Alhart has been named the East League most valuable player after leading the Storm to the Oregon High School Water Polo 5A/4A boys state championship. Summit teammates Tommy Brewer and Jack Butler joined Alhart on the first team, along with Madras’ Cade Boston and Brady Tucker, Mountain View’s Alex Pitcher and Bend High’s Jaden Boehme.
Culver boasts all-state players
Culver senior Carlos Martinez was named to the Class 3A/2A/1A all-state boys soccer first team. The Bulldogs finished 3-9-2 overall and 0-8-1 in Special District 4 play. Oregon Episcopal’s Matthew Sipowicz was selected as the 3A/2A/1A player of the year, and Oregon Episcopal’s Justin Kerr was voted the coach of the year.
