A single motor vehicle accident in Southwest Bend caused a power outage in the area Thursday, according to Bend Police.

Bend Police Lt. Ken Mannix said a vehicle struck a large utility pole on Powers Road between Brookswood Boulevard and Blakely Road.

The pole toppled onto the vehicle. Police responded at about 3:30 p.m. and pulled two adults and two children, all unhurt, from the vehicle.

Mannix said on Thursday afternoon that he expected the outage to last for some time. Bend Public Works and Pacific Power also responded to the scene.

Police are still investigating the incident.
