Kenneth Steven Clay, age 61, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014. He was born on Hamilton Air Force Base, Marin County, California June 20, 1953 to Thomas Cade Clay and Marilyn Colby Clay Dunbar. He was a resident of Rio Rancho, NM. His early years were spent in the Seattle area where he graduated from Hazen High School in Renton, Washington. He spent 4 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. He began his career in computers with Boeing and then transferred to the USDA Forest Service, working in Prineville, Oregon, Washington DC, Idaho and New Mexico. He retired from the USDA Forest Service in 2013. He enjoyed camping, fishing and scouting with his children.
Ken is survived by his wife, Kathy of Rio Rancho, NM; daughter, Tracy Goodrich of Newberg, OR; three sons, Steven Clay of Lodi, CA, Kevin Clay of Prineville, OR, Keith Clay of Prineville, OR; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service was held December 20, 2014 in Rio Rancho, NM. Another memorial and burial will be scheduled later in Oregon.
