A 91-year-old Bend man suffered minor injuries Saturday night when his sport utility vehicle rolled just outside Southwest Bend.

Milton Emerson was driving a 2002 Ford Explorer along Brookswood Boulevard near Buck Canyon Road when the SUV rolled one time, ending up back on its wheels on the road’s west shoulder, according to the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office. Ice covered the road at the time of the crash. Emerson was not listed as a patient this afternoon at St. Charles Bend, said a nursing supervisor at the hospital.

Police closed Brookswood for about 40 minutes while emergency crews responded to the crash.
