Oct. 21, 1922 – Jan. 29, 2015Laura Marie Browns was born October 21, 1922 to Henry and Martha (Toline) Johnson in Osceola, NE. Laura grew up and graduated from high school in Polk, NE where she also married her first husband, Harold Green. Laura moved with her children to Springfield, OR in 1962. She retired from the Lane Co. Housing Authority in 1980 and moved with her husband, Keith Browns to Sunriver, OR. After her husband’s death, Laura moved to Bend, OR where she spent the rest of her life.Laura is survived by her three sons, Gary (Donna) Green of Central City, NE, Jay (Lynela) Green of Bend, OR and Jim (Lori) Green of Eugene, OR; her daughter, Judy (Gary) Githens of Bend, OR; six grandchildren; 10 great- grandchilden; and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Browns; sister, Ruth Cramer; and granddaughter, Teresa Green.Laura enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling the world, reading and playing cards.A private graveside memorial was held Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene, OR.
