Ride of Silence honors cyclists

The worldwide Ride of Silence will be held Wednesday in Bend in honor of those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways.

This is a slow (12 mph max), silent ride to raise awareness of cyclists’ right to ride on public roads. The route is just over 5.5 miles long. Helmets are required.

Arrival time for the event is 6:30 p.m. at Crows Feet Commons/Radamacher Plaza, 875 NW Brooks St., Bend. Announcements will start at 6:45 p.m., and the ride will start at 7 p.m. For a map of the route, go to ridewithgps.com/routes/7809681.
