Railroad track replacements and road improvements at China Hat Road will mean a temporary detour for drivers.

Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad will remove and replace existing railroad tracks at the China Hat Road railroad crossing east of U.S. Highway 97 today. The city of Bend will also work on road improvements at the tracks during this time. The city asks that drivers in the area use a detour at Knott, Country Club, Murphy and Parrell roads. Access to Old Back Nine will remain open.
