Many cars entered illegally in NE Bend

Police on Saturday were investigating reports of unlocked cars being entered by a suspect or suspects on several streets in northeast Bend.

Officers were called first to a report of suspicious activity in the 1900 block of NE Providence Drive, according to a news release from Bend Police. More victims’ vehicles were found on Providence Drive as well as NE Conners Ave., Byers Court, Curtis Drive, Tahoe Court, Dogwood Drive, Heavenly Drive and NE Red Oak Drive.

The cars were entered between midnight Friday and 6 a.m. Saturday

No property damage was found, police said.

Officers took at least 17 reports; any additional victims can file a report online at www.bendoregon.gov/policereports. When filing a report, be as detailed as possible in describing any stolen property, police said.
