A Bend man reported he was stabbed during a robbery early Tuesday near the Franklin Street underpass in Bend.

Gene Brown, 40, was walking with Angelina Tackman, 27, also of Bend about 1:15 a.m., according to a news release from Bend Police.

Three people dressed in dark clothing tried to steal Tackman’s purse. Brown was stabbed during the encounter and went to St. Charles Bend before officers contacted him, police said.

Bend Police ask that anyone who saw the incident to call officers at 541-693-6911. The investigation is ongoing.
