Bend overtakes Cowlitz 13-12

LONGVIEW — Tyler Davis scored on a fielder’s choice in the 13th inning as Bend took its record to 5-1 with a 13-12 West Coast League victory over Cowlitz on Thursday.
Bend racked up 14 hits and was aided by six Cowlitz errors.
Sam Teague and Cooper Hummell each had three hits for the Elks, while Hummell added five RBIs and two doubles. Tommy Lane also had a pair of doubles for Bend.
Isaac Benard led the Black Bears (0-3 WCL) with three hits.
Reliever Kris Jackson earned the win for Bend.
Bend returns home today for a three-game series with Victoria. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m.
