Deaths of note from around the world:
Theodore Weesner, 79: A novelist who mined his wayward youth for the stuff of his celebrated first novel, “The Car Thief,” and whose half-dozen other books earned plaudits for their patient, realistic narratives and humanely considered characters. Died Thursday at a hospital near his home in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
Harold Feinstein, 84: Photographer whose celebrated series of black-and-white photographs of Coney Island in the 1950s established him as one of the most accomplished recorders of the American experience. Died June 20 at his home in Merrimac, Massachusetts.
