Due to low water levels at Prineville Reservoir, the Crook County Sheriff’s Office is advising boaters to use caution when launching at certain locations.

It is currently “difficult if not impossible” to launch large boats at both Powder House Cove and Jasper Point, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release, due to water levels more typically seen in mid-to-late September.
