The week ahead

A rundown of games and events to watch for locally and nationally from the world of sports (all times Pacific):
Today
Major League Baseball, All-Star selection, 4 p.m. (ESPN): The American League and National League starters were announced Sunday, and now the All-Star managers name their pitchers and reserves as they fill out the 34-player rosters for the 86th Midsummer Classic, set for July 14 at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati.
Tuesday
Cycling, Tour de France, 5 a.m. (NBCSN): The fourth of the Tour’s 21 stages is among its most interesting, a 139-mile stretch from Seraing to Cambrai featuring seven sections of cobblestones used on the Paris-Roubaix course. The finish is perfect for a Classics specialist — like current yellow jersey holder Fabian Cancellara — to win the stage.
Friday
West Coast League baseball, Medford Rogues at Bend Elks, 6:35 p.m.: The Elks, who still boast the best record in the WCL, open their second three-game home series against the Rogues in as many weekends. Bend could just about salt away the South Division title with another sweep over Medford, which is distant second place at 91⁄2 games back.
Saturday/Sunday
Tennis, Wimbledon finals at London, 9 a.m. both days (ESPN): Top seeds Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic survived the opening week of the fortnight and are on track to return to their respective finals in the third Grand Slam event of the year. The women’s final is set for Saturday, the men’s final for Sunday.
Saturday
Mountain biking, Oregon 12/24hr MTB Relay, 10 a.m.: Riders will race in individual, duo and team categories on a 10.5-mile loop course at Wanoga Sno-park in the Deschutes National Forest west of Bend. Races include a 12-hour event (10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday) and a 24-hour event (10 a.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday).
