Ingrid Sischy, 63: Writer, editor and cultural critic known for her long, authoritative associations with Interview magazine, The New Yorker and Vanity Fair. Died Friday in Manhattan from breast cancer.

Sally Gross, 81: A leading avant-garde dancer and choreographer whose minimalist works helped propel the postmodern dance movement. Died Monday in Sag Harbor, New York.

George Coe, 86: Film, stage and television actor who earned an Oscar nomination for his single picture as a director β€” the 1968 short feature β€œDe Duva (The Dove),” a mock-Swedish-inflected sendup of Ingmar Bergman that has endured as a cult favorite. Died July 18 in Santa Monica, California.
