Barbara “Bobbie” Ann Craig, 82, peacefully passed away on Sept. 24, 2015, in Bend, OR.

Barbara Craig was born on July 15, 1933, in Westchester County, NY. She was the first child of Gladys Keck and William Carlisle Johnson.

After graduating from high school in Larchmont, NY, she attended Colby- Sawyer College in New Hampshire, where she met her late husband, Philip Dodd Craig.

Barbara and Philip were married in New York on Oct. 22, 1955. They lived together in Pittsburgh, PA, Cincinnati, OH, Cleveland, OH, and Sanibel Island, FL.

Barbara was involved in PTA and the Red Hats Club. She enjoyed sailing, tennis and walking her dog on the beach. Barbara worked in advertising sales for the local newspaper and map company on Sanibel Island.

Barbara moved to Bend, OR, three years ago to be close to her daughter and family.

People will most remember Bobbie for her will to persevere through what life handed her. She always remained positive and willing to share her unconditional love.

Barbara was preceded in death by husband, Philip Craig; and son, Jeff Craig.

She is survived by a brother, Bill Johnson of Keswick, Virginia; a son, Matthew Craig of Belle Isle, FL; a daughter, Jennifer Craig of Bend, OR; and four grandchildren.

There will be a celebration of Bobbies life on Oct. 6, 2015, at Fox Hollow Independent and Assisted Living.

A memorial celebration will be held for family on Sanibel Island at a later date.
