A Walmart employee was arrested Monday after allegedly setting small fires inside the Bend superstore, according to Bend Police Lt. Clint Burleigh.

Travis William Kyle, 19, of La Pine, is accused of using a pocket lighter to set two fires that were extinguished prior to the arrival of emergency responders at about 9:30 p.m. Monday.

After police and fire officials determined the fires were suspicious, Kyle was arrested on suspicion of first-degree arson.
