Cascades Theatrical Company’s All Aspects Teen Theatre will open its production of “Shakespeare and the Land of the Dead: The True and Accurate Account of the 1599 Zombie Plague” Thursday at Cascades Theatre, 148 NW Greenwood Ave., in Bend.

According to director Brad Thompson, the play centers on the Globe Theatre, where William Shakespeare’s “Henry V” is set to premiere.

“While The Plague is ravaging London, Will Kemp, Francis Bacon, Queen Elizabeth, and the Lord Chamberlain’s Men are surrounded, under attack, and fighting for their lives,” Thompson said by email. “It is actually a very smart script, and has zombies, so what more could we want for a Halloween show.”

Additional performances Oct. 30 and 31. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. for all shows.
