The city of Bend is holding a meeting from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday to discuss the 27th Street sewer line project.

The meeting will be at the Mountain View High School cafeteria, 2755 NE 27th St.

The construction of a new sewer line is scheduled to begin next spring and be completed in late 2017. City staffers will be at the meeting to answer questions and explain the project schedule and routes for traffic detours.

The work on 27th Street is part of the larger southeastern interceptor project, which has multiple phases. The city hopes the new sewer line will relieve sewer capacity concerns throughout Bend.
