After two photography lessons, six photographers from Abilitree tested their skills in downtown Bend and Drake Park.

The group set out to capture landmarks, scenery and more, according to a press release for “The Lens Project 2015,” an exhibit showing during tonight’s First Friday Gallery Walk in Bend.

For the project, Abilitree, a Central Oregon nonprofit that seeks to empower people with disabilities, teamed with Kubota PhotoDesign’s Kevin Kubota, who taught the photo classes and led the workshop, according to the release.

Area photographers Levi Lundy, Buck Makinson, Deanna Leach, Angie Onsted D’Amico and Clare Kubota also mentored the shutterbugs.

The resultant canvases and prints show from 5-8 tonight at Cascade Sotheby’s, 821 NW Wall St., downtown Bend, and are on sale as a fundraiser benefiting Abilitree.
