Crews will continue with sewer line construction along Arizona Avenue at Bond Street late into the evenings for the next three nights.

Work will stop by 10 p.m. today through Thursday. The construction will continue into the evenings so the work can be finished by Friday. Traffic delays in the area are likely.

Bend’s sewer system is near capacity, according to a news release from the city, so that some pipes routinely reach close to overflow levels. Because of this, it’s difficult for the city to add major new employers or residential developments, according to the release. The Colorado Lift Station (large pumping station) and pipeline project will replace and be an upgrade of the existing Shevlin Station.
